INDIVIDUAL DEVELOPMENT ACCOUNTS

MESO’s IDA program works with individuals interested in expanding their business. MESO elevates under resourced entrepreneurs to build resilience, equity, and thriving communities through access to capital, tailored business assistance, and education.

Individual Development Accounts (IDAs) are matched savings accounts that help people with modest means to save  towards the purchase of assets. MESO’s IDA match is 5:1, where each $1 that you save in your IDA, matches with $5.

The money to match funds comes from the Oregon IDA 75% Tax Credit Program, and/or federal funds. MESO receives its  allocation from Neighborhood Partnerships, an Oregon 501c3 designated to disperse the state funds.

Owning assets is one of the best ways for families  to increase financial stability and achieve wealth. Assets are things that increase in value over time in the marketplace. Owning a business qualifies as a type of asset as it helps you to  become self-sufficient.

Several grant programs will be made available in the Tri-County areas MESO, in partnership with these various municipalities, will be administering the grant application and the disbursement process.
